Scientific event

On the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of Algeria’s independence, and under the slogan A Glorious History and a New Era, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research convened a national symposium to reflect on the trajectory of Algerian universities since 1962. Higher education and scientific research have stood as pillars in the construction of the modern Algerian state, contributing to the training of qualified cadres, the advancement of development, and the consolidation of Algeria’s scientific and cultural identity.

This symposium sought to revisit six decades of academic experience, highlighting achievements, addressing challenges, and anticipating future prospects in light of social, economic, and scientific transformations. It emphasized the crucial role of research and postgraduate studies, particularly doctoral programs, in serving society and reaffirmed the importance of investing in knowledge as a fundamental lever for building the Algeria of tomorrow.
